Blossom garland statement earrings
Bright white and pink statement earrings inspired by the apple blossom in my garden!
Whtie and pink marbled acrylic with gold mirrored acrylic and hand-painted details. One wreath is engraved with an extract from Sappho’s fragment 102, and its pair is engraved with my English translation.

Handmade in Scotland as part of the Sappho’s Garden collection, inspired by the fruits and flowers that Sappho describes in her poetry.
In Ancient Greece, apples were associated with Aphrodite and seen as symbols of love. Sappho uses a red sweet-apple (τὸ γλυκύμαλον) as a metaphor for the inaccessibility of beauty in fragment 105a.

Please keep your earrings away from water, and polish with a soft cloth - the kind used to polish glasses is perfect.
