A bright purple and pink crocus brooch to herald the first signs of Spring!
Purple and pink marbled acrylic with gold mirrored acrylic and hand-painted details. Made with a tie pin and clutch closure for ease of use - no fiddly brooch backs. We recommend wearing on thick fabric, such as a woolly jumper or your favourite coat.

Handmade in Scotland as part of the Sappho’s Garden collection, inspired by the fruits and flowers that Sappho describes in her poetry.
Crocuses - and saffron, the expensive spice extracted from the flower - adorn the Minoan frescoes of ancient Crete. In her poetry, Sappho admires the garlands of crocuses, violets, and roses that adorn young women.
