Crocus garland statement earrings
Bright purple and pink crocus statement earrings to herald the first sings of Spring!
Purple and pink marbled acrylic with gold mirrored acrylic and hand-painted details. One wreath is engraved with an extract from Sappho’s fragment 130, and its pair is engraved with my English translation.

Handmade in Scotland as part of the Sappho’s Garden collection, inspired by the fruits and flowers that Sappho describes in her poetry.
Crocuses - and saffron, the expensive spice extracted from the flower - adorn the Minoan frescoes of ancient Crete. Sappho admires the garlands of crocuses, violets, and roses adorning young women in her poetry.

A gift wrap option is also available at the checkout: if you choose this, your earrings (and their cotton bag) will be wrapped in luxury Greek vase-patterned wrapping paper.
