A dainty pink rose choker necklace - the symbol of love and creativity!

Pink marbled acrylic with engraved details. Designed to be worn double-wrapped as a choker necklace, but comes with an extra-long French mousseline ribbon so you can wear it as short or as long as you like. You can also swap out the ribbon for a chain you already own, if you prefer!

Handmade in Scotland as part of the Sappho’s Garden collection, inspired by the fruits and flowers that Sappho describes in her poetry.

In Ancient Greece, roses were sacred to Aphrodite and seen as a symbol of love. One myth describes how roses bloomed from the blood of Adonis, Aphrodite’s dying lover. Sappho also equates roses with the Muses, artistic inspiration, and cultural knowledge in fragment 55.
