Handmade in Scotland as part of the Sappho’s Garden collection, inspired by the fruits and flowers that Sappho describes in her poetry.

In Ancient Greece, roses were sacred to Aphrodite and seen as a symbol of love. One myth describes how roses bloomed from the blood of Adonis, Aphrodite’s dying lover. Sappho also equates roses with the Muses, artistic inspiration, and cultural knowledge in fragment 55.
